Barracks Stud was founded in 1994 when we went to visit an old gentleman, and he gave us a 1990 Welsh Pony & Cob Society Journal to take home to look at.  We were very impressed with page 268 Synod Stud's Brierwood Rocket, so we rang Cerdin and Doreen to see if they had anything like him to sell.  They told us to go and see them to look at their ponies, they had a bay filly foal, which we liked very much, but we could not buy her as she was entered at Fayre Oaks Sale.  We had a lovely day and were made very welcome, this was in August.  When September finally came we went to our first sale at foxglovefloral.  When we arrived we looked around at all the ponies until we found Synod Summers Dream, she looked better than ever, we were not going home without her! (And we didn't)!
We would like to thank Cerdin, Doreen and Amanda for breeding our foundation mare, who was the start of Barracks Stud.
Due to the work load on our Dairy farm we do not have time to show our ponies, but they are always very successful for their owners at home and abroad.
We hope you enjoy looking through our pages on the site, our site will be updated regularly so please come back and have another look.

Visitors are very welcome but please phone first.
